Step by Step Installation and Setup Technique

- Select mounting position that gives clear view of the sky,
- Attach the system to either one of your stanchions or pulpits (1 " rail mounts and all mounting hardware included, 7/8" mounts available by request), or by resting it on your deck (suction cup mounts provided),
- Level the base using the built-in level,
- Mount the antenna (single thumbscrew - secure, yet easy to remove),
- Connect cables (included), one for the antenna signal (to your satellite receiver) and one for the motorized base (to the system controller),
- Plug in the system controller (12VDC standard, 24V and AC power available by special order),
- Press the "Power" button on the provided remote control,
- Press the "Play" button on the remote to activate tracking

The system will automatically return to the last used heading and sensitivity settings. Initial setup requires locating the satellite using either your receiver's signal strength meter or the optional Marine-Sat signal strength meter.

Initial Setup (takes a few more minutes but isn't difficult)

- Get azimuth and elevation data for your location from your receiver's setup screen,
- Set antenna elevation to desired value,
- Activate tracking by pressing the "Play" button,
- Set desired heading to desired value using the IR Remote,
- Fine adjust heading to peak received signal strength,
- If necessary, fine adjust elevation to peak received signal strength

That's it... First time installation and setup can be accomplished in just 5-10 minutes, subsequent setups in only a minute or two!
